Consultation process
The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (‘the 1996 Regulations’) apply to any order made pursuant to section 84 of the 1984 Act by virtue of regulation 4 of the 1996 Regulations. Regulation 6 of the 1996 Regulations requires consultation to be undertaken with statutory consultees.
Has an Equality Analysis been carried out and if so the result of this Assessment?: An Integrated Equality Assessment was undertaken on the schemes proposed in the Local Implementation Plan which included the strategy for reducing road accidents. This confirmed the general level of benefit.
