Consultation process
No formal consultation has already been undertaken.
For evidence gathering purpose, an information sharing exercise was undertaken with landowners/developers through “Call for Sites” between July 6, and August 3, 2015. Details can be found on the Council’s website:

An informal ‘soft launch’ of the Tower Hamlets Local Plan will take place in Autumn 2015 to inform the public and stakeholders that the formal consultation on the Local Plan engagement document will start in December 2015. This will include a notice on the Tower Hamlets Council website, and article in East End Life and updates via social media.
Following approval by Cabinet in December 2015, the Local Plan Engagement Document will be subject to an eight-week public consultation between December 2015 and February 2016.
During consultation period, appropriate events will be held in some locations within the borough to help gather comments from the community and other key stakeholders.
Has an Equality Analysis been carried out and if so the result of this Assessment?: Yes an EqIA screening will be submitted as an appendix to the Cabinet report.
