Consultation process
An MSG Review Group was set up to pull together detailed proposals for the 2015/18 programme – the group was made up of relevant service managers from the council together with representatives from the third sector including the Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets Council for Voluntary Service along with representatives from the Third Sector Advisory Board.
Two separate consultation events took place at which third sector organisations were invited to attend. The first event took place in October 2014 and the other in March 2015 – These consultation events helped to shape the structure and priorities of the programme.
Five service managers are designated as ‘theme leads’ with responsibility for establishing award proposals in relation to the theme for which they are responsible – to arrive at these proposals they will consult with each other as well as with other grant management colleagues in order to bring forward coherent recommendations for consideration by Commissioners.
The consultation events were ‘participative workshops’ MSG review group sessions meetings ‘discussion meetings’.
