Older Persons Day Opportunities Review
On 6th November 2013, Cabinet recommended a process to support the modernisation of Day Services for Older People in Tower Hamlets. The focus will be a full review of the current service provision in the Borough and recommendations for the future. This report presents the review and outlines Officer Recommendations for the future offer to our older residents.

Consultation process
The review comprised of extensive consultation with users of the current day service provision, 30 staff members day services were consulted either one-to-one or in groups comprising of managers and support staff and Carers feedback events were held.
The review was presented to Service Managers at PSMT, and Commissioning and Health SMT. The review and recommendations have more recently been discussed with the new Service Manager responsible for Riverside and Mayfield House, the in-house day services. |
