Consultation process
The statutory period of public consultation took place for six weeks during which the public and key stakeholders were able to make formal representations that were considered prior to adoption of the SPD.
Consultees
Extensive public, landowner, business, key stakeholder and internal consultation and engagement has been carried out in preparing the SPD.
A six week statutory public consultation (January 5th -February 16th 2015) has been carried out in together with prior ‘informal’ public consultation in August/September 2014. There was also a period of statutory consultation on the SPD’s accompanying Strategic Environmental Assessment (September 15th – October 20th 2014).
Has an Equality Analysis been carried out and if so the result of this Assessment?: Yes - A scoping EqIA has been completed and will be submitted as an appendix to the Cabinet Report; it was found that a full EqIA was not necessary as this had previously been completed for the Council’s Local Plan documents (Core Strategy 2010 and Managing Development Document 2013).
What supporting documents or other information will be available?: The SPD and its accompanying documents will be an appendix to the Cabinet Report.
