Letters, public meetings, elected member meetings, consultation survey on mytowerhamlets website.
Consultees
Borough-wide public consultation April – August 2012 on top 3 community safety priorities. Consultation included series of 12 public meetings (Community Safety Road-shows) one per ward or paired ward if wards shared Police Sergeant, one borough public meeting, an elected members consultation meeting and a presentation to the Police and Community Safety Board Executive. Meetings were supplemented by letters to residents already engaged with the Council in previous public consultations, letters to Community Safety Partnership members (organisations) and letters to third/voluntary/community (including Tenant Resident Associations) sector and a mytowerhamlets consultation survey on the website.
Further to the above public consultation, members of the Community Safety Partnership (including representatives from internal council directorates and external agencies) have been consulted through the CSP Strategy Group (Police, Fire Service, Probation, Health, Victim Support, Council for Voluntary Service, YOT, Safeguarding Adults, Safeguarding Children) and at Community Safety Partnership Meetings throughout the development process, culminating with approval on 13th March 2013.
