Adoption of the Code of Construction Practice 2023
The Code of Construction Practice 2023 replaces the 2006 version
of the document and sets out the Council’s expectations on
and around construction sites in the borough. It seeks to keep the
public and workers safe whilst mitigating adverse impacts including
noise, dust and traffic issues. It also responds to the latest
legislation, policies and best practice guidance as well as
feedback received from residents during public
consultation.

Consultation process
Officers across the Place Directorate have inputted into the
document. There have also been two separate public consultation
events. These took place from 14th January – 25th February
2022 (6 weeks) and 24 October – 2nd December 2022 (6 weeks)
and included drop-in events.
