Mayor in Cabinet decision on procurement options, for the first element of a series of critically inter-dependant items in the CCTV Capital Transformation Programme. The Report sets out proposed procurement route for the upgrade of the CCTV user interface software. This item is first in the procurement critical path for the overall CCTV Transformation Programme.

Decision type: Key

Reason Key: Significant impact on communities living or working in two or more wards;

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Wards affected: (All Wards);

Notice of proposed decision first published: 10/01/2022

Reason for urgency:
This item is first in the procurement critical path for the overall corporate CCTV Transformation Programme. Procurement options, other than direct award, have 4-month lead-in times which would have severely detrimental impact on overall capital programme delivery timelines. The installation of the new digital street camera network system would not conclude until March 2023 instead of November 2022, and the deadline of December 2022 for relocating the CCTV Control Room from its current site to the new Town Hall would slip to April 2023. This delay would have financial and operational implications.

Decision due: 18 Jan 22 by Cabinet

Lead director: Corporate Director, Health, Adults and Community

Department: Health, Adults and Community
