Food Pantry Programme Funding – Family Action
The report relates to the approval of a grant
of £96,364 to charitable organisation Family Action to fund
six food pantries in Tower Hamlets. This will be funded in full
from the Mayor’s Covid Recovery Fund, and will enable each of
the six sites to deliver a food pantry for at least 2.5
years.
The funding amount is above the threshold for other procurement
methods and only one provider is appropriate. Therefore, it
requires approval from the Grants Determination
Sub-Committee.
