Formal offer of Historic Buildings Grant to Greenlight Youth Club
Greenlight Youth Club, 223 Bow Rd, a grade II
listed building located in the Fairfield Road Conservation Area,
has applied to the Council for a Historic Buildings Grant of
£12,000 for timber repairs to the first-floor bay windows,
shutters and front door. The building is currently considered
‘vulnerable’ by Historic England due to its poor
condition.
This work will support the long-term sustainability of the building
and support the youth centre as it opens to visitors post covid-19.
It will also improve the visual appearance of the building and the
conservation area and will therefore be of benefit to the general
community.
