Councillor Maium Talukdar, Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Education, Youth and Lifelong Learning introduced the report that presented the Tower Hamlets Safeguarding Children Partnership annual report on the effectiveness of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in its locality.  Councillor Talukdar explained that the report demonstrated the activity of the THSCP within the last financial year.

Councillor Talukdar offered thanks to all partners involved and in particular drew attention to young persons and young scrutineers who work with the Safeguarding Board.

RESOLVED that the Mayor in Cabinet:

1.    Notes the work that has been carried out by the Tower Hamlets Safeguarding Children’s Partnership over the year 2020-21 and the outcomes that members would like to see from the THSCP over the next year
