To update the Grants Determination (Cabinet) Sub-committee of applications received and pledges made with regards to the Council’s Innovation Fund, which is being used as match-funding for voluntary and community organisations crowdfunding through Spacehive.

At the 9th May 2017 Grants Determination (Cabinet) Sub-committee meeting it was agreed that the Corporate Director Resources, be authorised, after consultation with an officer panel including an external grant funder, to determine all match funding issues and to report quarterly to the Grants Determination Sub-Committee.

The Head of Benefits Service introduced the report which provided an update on the activity of the Innovation Fund and the pledges made and the match funding secured through this scheme.

The written comments in support of the scheme from GSSC and those of support from Councillor Woods at the meeting were noted.

DECISION

1.         That the report be noted

2.         That the pledges made to organisations as detailed in paragraph 5.5 of the report be noted.
