Purpose:
The council consulted its tenants on proposed
changes to the tenancy agreement. The statutory consultation took
place over 6 weeks between 6th and 17th October 2021. This report
advises Mayor and Cabinet of the outcome of the consultation
process and seeks approval to proceed with the introduction of the
revised tenancy agreement, including a decision on whether to
rescind the second succession policy.
Decision:
DECISION
1.
To approve the revised tenancy agreement for council tenants which
has been subject to consultation with residents in accordance with
S.103 Housing Act 1985.
2. To approve the rescission of the 1994 second succession policy.
3. To approve the service of a formal notice of variation of tenancy upon the council’s tenants.
