Grant offer to Toynbee Hall to support the production of an updated Conservation Area Appraisal & Management Plan (CAAMP) for the Wentworth Street Conservation Area
As part of the Petticoat Lane High Street
Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ), the Council has committed to update
the Conservation Area Appraisal & Management Plan (CAAMP) for
the Wentworth Street Conservation Area.
As part of this process, a series of thematic surveys will be
carried out by local ‘Community Appraisers’, supported
by a Heritage Officer at Toynbee Hall and trained by external
providers, to appraise the character of the Wentworth Street
Conservation Area and to carry out archival research. The collated
results will be presented to the Council at the end of the project
and will be used by a Place Shaping officer to prepare the CAAMP
