That the unrestricted minutes of the General Purposes Committee held on 10 December 2014 be approved and signed as a correct record.

EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC In view of the contents of the remaining items on the agenda the Committee is recommended to adopt the following motion:
“That, under the provisions of Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, the press and public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting for the consideration of the Section Two business on the grounds that it contains information defined as Exempt in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act, 1972.”

The exempt committee papers in the agenda will contain information, which is commercially, legally or personally sensitive and should not be divulged to third parties. If you do not wish to retain these papers after the meeting, please hand them to the Committee Officer present. Minutes: RESOLVED –

That the restricted minutes of the meeting of the General Purposes Committee held on 10 December 2014 be agreed and signed, as a correct record of the proceedings.

LOCAL AUTHORITY GOVERNOR APPOINTMENTS To consider a report of the Corporate Director, Education, Social Care & Wellbeing Minutes: Councillor Aminur Khan declared a non-pecuniary interest in Para 4.6 on the grounds that the applicant was known to him.
The report was introduced by Hania Franek, Head of School Governance and Information, who advised that none of the applications before the Committee was contentious.
The Committee’s attention was drawn to the following applications:
RESOLVED -
(1) That the applicants for appointment and nomination to Local Authority School Governor positions as set out in the report be noted.
(2) That the applications for
Local Authority Governors as detailed in the report be approved as
follows: a) That Alexandra Dobson be re-appointed as a Local Authority governor at Stephen Hawking School under the 2007 School Governance Regulations.
b) That Declan Crozier be appointed to the Local Authority Governor vacancy at St Mary & St Michael School under the 2007 School Governance Regulations.
c) That Michael Topley be nominated as the Local Authority Governor at English Martyr Catholic School under the 2012 School Governance Regulations.
d) That Chris Daly be nominated as the Local Authority Governor at Central Foundation Girls’ School under the 2012 School Governance Regulations. . e) That Luuk (Lucien) Jacobs be nominated as the Local Authority governor at St Paul with St Luke School under the 2012 School Governance Regulations.
f) That Shah Mahmud be appointed as the Local Authority Governor at of the London Enterprise Academy, a free school.
g) That Sajjad Miah be nominated as the Local Authority Governor at Thomas Buxton Primary School under the 2012 School Governance Regulations.
