  • Browse all current ePetitions
We the undersigned petition the council to Mudchute Skatepark is a small outdoor concrete skatepark, tucked away on the Isle of Dogs. The only official skatepark on the Isle of Dogs – and a very run down basic skatepark - meaning families need to travel out of the Isle of Dogs to bring their kids skating. In addition to this being the only skate park in the area - Mini Half Pipes are also very rare in the city centre of London - the closest is in east London: Barking, or West London: Nottinghill. Skateparks are a wonderful way for local kids to engage and enjoy outdoor activities, we'd love to make more use of our local area rather than having to travel to other boroughs. Adding a Mini Half Pipe to Mudchute Skatepark would only cost £1300. Sizing of a Mini Half Pipe: 3’H x 6’W x 16’L. There are very simple pre-built Mini Half Pipes built for outdoor usage that can be easily put together in 1 day. The proposed Mini Half Pipe could be tucked into the corner of Mudchute Skatepark where there is open area that does not obstruct
