Liveable Streets Consultation on proposed changes
We the undersigned petition the council to Reject the changes being proposed to our borough under the Liveable Streets projects/programme. We say 'No' to any changes to be made to our Tower Hamlets as part of the consultation survey that is being circulated at present and closes on 11th July. Having spoken to numerous people and as a resident of Tower Hamlets we do not want to see any of these proposals being implemented. We want the Liveable Streets programme to leave our borough alone.
We like our borough as it is, please respect this and do not interfere with our day to day lives. We feel these changes will be counter productive to our daily lives and businesses in the borough.
We believe, since the council is having to make drastic cuts to front line services, this money which is being spent on Liveable Streets can and should be used and directed towards keeping front line services.
We, the people of Tower Hamlets do not see the Liveable Streets as a necessity, rather, we view it as money being wasted on a fancy whim of a few individuals and could be directed to fighting child poverty which is alarmingly high in this borough.
