Petition details
PA/19/02804/NC Whitechapel Road
We are writing in connection with the above planning
application. We have examined the application and the plan, and we
know the site very well we are the current leaseholder in the
property and shop merchants around the building. We are objecting
strongly to the proposed application submitted to the
council.
The proposed building is particularly ill-considered: Proposed
building is on a very Whitechapel busy road used by many commuters
and tourists. Having another restaurant here wouldn’t benefit
the public or the commuters. On-demand economy sparked by Uber,
Netflix, and Amazon Prime has spread to the restaurant industry.
Consumers want convenience in all aspects of their lives, including
dining.
With new third-party food delivery service providers constantly
popping up, it’s easier than ever for restaurants to give
customers the convenience they expect. It will diminish the both
shops and market stalls; these could not remedy the siting problem.
Current restaurateurs on the same road are struggling to keep the
business. There is no need for this kind of fast food chicken
restaurant in the Whitechapel road.
On this road it has more than required restaurants already
enough restaurant to meet the requirements in the area. Only
identified need is for affordable market shops for the merchants
who work locally. Great for commuters and tourists who like to
interact with others as well as a great practice in salesmanship
and more revenue to the local council. If proposed building is
granted it will destroy the current leaseholds investment and
livelihood. This will affect more than 21 family and their
employees family.
Formal request to speak at the local planning authority committee
meeting at which the application may be decided, some local
planning authorities require respondents to planning applications
to give notice, in their response, of their wish to speak at
committee meetings:
If this application is to be decided by councillors, please take
this as notice that I would like to speak at the meeting of the
committee at which this application is expected to be decided.
Please let us know as soon as possible the date of the
meeting.
Finally, please note that our submission is in respect of the
proposed development. While we have taken every effort to present
accurate information for your consideration, as we are not a
decision maker or statutory consulted, we cannot accept any
responsibility for unintentional errors or omissions and you should
satisfy yourselves on any facts before reaching your decision.
